Murata has announced its collaboration with NXP Semiconductors to develop the Type 1XL very high-performance Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth® 5.3 module
Based on the NXP 88W9098 combo chipset, the ultra-small dual-band module supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax 2×2 multi-user, multiple-input, multiple-output (MU-MIMO) and Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy (LE). The Wi-Fi™ section of the module supports connectivity up to 1.4x faster than conventional Wi-Fi compatible devices, offering data rates of up to 1200 Mbps. This section also supports the PCIe 3.0 interface with optional support for SDIO 3.0. The Bluetooth 5.3 LE section supports speeds of up to 2 Mbps with a high-speed 4-wire UART interface, optional support for SDIO, and PCM for audio data.
Nisshinbo introduces the NJM2725 High Speed/Low Noise Amplifier
Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. has launched the operational amplifier NJM2725. It is a dual fast voltage feedback operational amplifier designed for ease of use in applications requiring high speed and low noise characteristics. Murata announces the MRD series of open-loop current sensors for industrial systems
Each integrates high-performance tunnel magneto-resistive (TMR) elements - enabling precision measurement with regard to both DC and AC currents up to 40A, as well as maintaining stable characteristics across an extensive temperature range. This gives them an industry-leading full scale output accuracy of ±1.0% when operating anywhere between −40°C and 105°C, with fast-response time of 0.5µs (typical) also being supported.
Murata has added the MRMS591P and MRMS581P omnidirectional AMR sensors to its lineup of magnetic sensors
In recent years, there has been a growing need for highly secure functionality in the smart meter and security industries. For example, the meter functionality of smart meters can be disabled simply by bringing a strong magnet near the device. Traditional magnetic sensors can only detect magnetic fields in a single axial direction, making accurate detection of magnetic fields in multiaxial directions difficult. In response, Murata has applied its proprietary technologies and has developed an omnidirectional AMR sensor capable of detecting magnetic fields even when the direction of the magnetic field is not fixed.

Murata releases compact 2016 size crystal units for Wi-Fi devices
Murata has released the XRCGB-F-S series for Wi-Fi devices. The 2.0 × 1.6 mm size high-precision crystal units are in mass production with samples available. These products achieve an initial frequency accuracy of +/−10 ppm in the 37.4, 38.4, and 40 MHz frequency bands and an operating temperature range of −40 to +105°C. This means the components can withstand high temperatures and are ideal for applications such as lighting fixtures, HEMS/BEMS, or devices equipped with wireless functionality such as Bluetooth™ Low Energy, or Zigbee®.

Murata introduces high performing DC panel meters that deliver robust displays in a small package
The miniaturized DMR35 series includes a +48V common-mode input range and is powered from a 9-32VDC external source. Building on that, it provides a unique bar-graph display of up to 3.5 digits that accompany a traditional numeric panel meter. Designed to fit into a 2.25” mounting hole, the products are a mechanical drop-fit replacement for many popular analog panel meters. Additionally, they deliver IP66 environmental protection at the front mounting surface when used with the combined gasket.
